I have written these newsletters since 1987. They are not the standard sophomoric drivel of many newsletters nor are telling you what the best investment is today. That is not how I conduct business nor how I teach. But they do contain invaluable information that I have read and want to retain for future reference as well as info investors/clients should know (as well as my letting off steam on issues that annoy me).
At least 30 different subject areas are reviewed each month and you should retain the information for further use. Don't be concerned if you don't fully understand some of the more esoteric issues. However, you should at least try to grasp the fundamentals. More importantly, if you don't understand the subject area and yet you know it pertains to your life or that of your loved ones, go to your library, talk with an adviser, DO SOME RESEARCH- before doing something stupid. Literally every time I have heard someone complain about losing money, they usually didn't have a clue about what they were doing and never did thorough investigation of the subject or the adviser. Thorough investigation is not asking your friends or relatives (See Who Can You Trust. Remember, the easiest way to determine if someone might know something with investments or insurance is to see if they have an HP12C. If not, don't use.) If you are using an adviser and they have too many problems in grasping the fundamentals or explaining them to you, then you probably have the wrong adviser.
