RE: Best Planners

Since 1994 you have represented illegal planners as the best in the business. You either are incompetent or stupid or there is collusion with the agents you have selected.

Any comprehensive financial planner in the State of California MUST be under the direct regulatory control of the Department of Insurance. If one wishes to charge solely a fee, he/she must be licensed as an Insurance Analyst- the law since 1959. Such requirements for the license currently include about 115 hours of continuing education, 5 years experience as a licensee and the passage of a detailed exam as an Insurance Analyst.

This was brought to your attention in 1994. You did nothing. And you have continued to do nothing in the subsequent years except for your magazine condoning the continuation of illegal and unethical acts. NAPFA cannot act legally in this state. Two individuals on your list are under investigation by the Department. Were you told by them? Do you have any idea of what these agents can actually do in the state in terms of comprehensive financial planning? I bet the answer to all of this is NO!

You can go to my web site and read the 1994 letter. You may also learn about integrity. Check the commentary on ethics. They are both supposed to mean something. You might even try to do some truthful reporting.

Very Truly,
